Why We Care
- Three in four families will care for a family member with cancer (American Cancer Society, Cancer Facts and Figures 2004).
- In central Texas, there are more than 4,000 people living with HIV and AIDS.
- HIV and AIDS infection rates are rising, especially among young people and people of color (AIDS Services of Austin).
- More than 1.4 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer (Lance Armstrong Foundation).
